Applying Your Nails

When I first started wearing press on nails, I would ignore the adhesive tabs inside and automatically glue them on because I always felt like the tabs didn't stick as strong to my nails as I needed them to. Then I learned I completely under estimated them! They weren't sticking because I wasn't prepping my nails properly before putting them on! Now, I almost have to use so much strength to pull them off because they stick so well without damaging my nails + for the girlies that only want to keep them on temporarily, you can take them off and use them again when you're ready! 
  • How To Apply Your Nails  (Adhesive Tabs)

Step 1: File/buff your entire nail to create a rough dry surface. 

Step 2: Using an alcohol wipe, remove the dust and any shine from your nails. If you have your own alcohol and nail wipes, I would personally also wipe down the back of the press on nail. If you don't have nail wipes you can get some on shein or temu for about $2. On Amazon about $5

Step 3: Without touching your nails, (touching can add oil to your nails removing the rough dry edge that makes your press ons stick stronger) put the adhesive tab over your nail and select the one that fits your nails best. The tab should be slightly smaller than your nail bed. 

Step 4:  Remove the tab from the sheet and apply it to your nails.

Step 5: Peel off the plastic from the adhesive tab. 

Step 6: At a 45 degree angle starting at the cuticle, press the press on nail down on to your nail and hold for about 10 seconds.

The press on nail should start to feel tight and snug on your nail. Slightly wiggling the nails or tapping them on a surface, they shouldn't feel loose or come off.

If you must apply cuticle oil after applying your nails, only add a very small amount making sure it doesn't drip under the nail loosening the stick on the adhesive tab or use a small amount of hand lotion. 

  • How To Measure Your Nails (Nail Glue) 

Step 1: File/buff your entire nail to create a rough dry surface. 

Step 2: Using an alcohol wipe, remove the dust / shine from your nails.

Step 3: Put a small amount of glue on the back of the press on nail. 

Step 4: At a 45 degree angle starting below the cuticle, press the nail down on to your nail and hold for about 10 seconds.

It's generally best to avoid any contact with water for about 2 hours after applying.  

If you must apply cuticle oil after applying your nails, only add a very small amount making sure it doesn't drip under the nail or use a small amount of hand lotion. 

  • How To Measure Your Nails 

1. Get a small piece of measuring or regular tape and carefully place it across your nail bed horizontally.

2. If using regular tape, use a pen to mark where the tape reaches the side walls of your nail on the left and right side.

3. Take the tape off and place it on a ruler. Then count the millimeters (mm) on ruler. If using measuring tape, count the millimeters. (NOT CM)

Refer to the sizing list below to determine your nail size. ** If you're in-between sizes, always size up. **

19(mm): size 0

18(mm): size 1

16(mm): size 2

15(mm): size 3

14(mm): size 4

13(mm:) size 5

12(mm): size 6

11(mm): size 7

10(mm): size 8

9(mm): size 9

  • Another option is ordering a sizing kit from my shop in your desired nail shape. (search sizing kit) 

Once you get the sizing kit, there are numbers at the bottom of the nail tips. Put the nail tips over your nails and write down the number on the tips with which finger it fits with.

Thumb: 0

Index: 5

Middle: 4

Ring: 5

Pinky: 9
